Step 1 – Turn Off the Main Circuit Breaker
Before beginning any electrical work, switch the main circuit breaker to the OFF position to disconnect the power supply.
This guide explains how a secondary circuit breaker was installed to distribute electricity from the main circuit breaker to multiple electrical outlets that supply power to the UPS units in the computer laboratory.
Before beginning any electrical work, switch the main circuit breaker to the OFF position to disconnect the power supply.
Gather the secondary circuit breaker, electrical wires, screwdrivers, wire stripper, electrical tape, and other required tools.
Securely install the secondary circuit breaker inside the electrical panel in its designated position.
Connect the input wires from the main circuit breaker to the secondary circuit breaker, making sure all terminals are tightened properly.
Connect the output wires from the secondary circuit breaker to the electrical outlets that will supply power to the UPS units.
Check that all wire connections are secure and that no exposed wires or loose terminals remain before restoring power.
Turn the main circuit breaker back ON to supply electricity to the secondary circuit breaker.
Verify that the secondary circuit breaker is supplying power to all connected outlets and that the UPS units receive electricity properly.
