Installing Applications in Linux Mint Cinnamon

Step 1 – Open the Software Manager

Click the Menu button located in the bottom-left corner of the desktop, then open Software Manager.

Step 2 – Authenticate (If Prompted)

If prompted, enter your username and password, then click Authenticate.

Step 3 – Search for an Application

Use the search bar to search for the application you want to install.

Step 4 – Select the Application

Click the application from the search results to open its information page.

Step 5 – Install the Application

Click the Install button.

If prompted, enter your username and password, then click Authenticate.

Step 6 – Wait for the Installation to Finish

Linux Mint will begin downloading and installing the application.

Do not close the Software Manager or turn off the computer while the installation is in progress.

Wait until the installation has finished successfully before opening or using the application.

Step 7 – Verify the Installation

After the installation is complete, open the Menu and search for the application to verify that it has been installed successfully.
